A check valve is a valve that has a circular disc as the opening and closing part, and moves by its own weight and medium pressure to block the backflow of the medium. It belongs to the category of automatic valves. The disc movement mode is divided into lifting type and swing type. The lifting check valve is similar to the stop valve structure, only lacking the valve stem that drives the disc. The medium flows in from the inlet end and flows out from the outlet end. When the inlet pressure is greater than the sum of the disc weight and its flow resistance, the valve is opened. On the contrary, when the medium flows back, the valve is closed.
1. Check valve is an important device to prevent water backflow. Generally, it is installed at the outlet, either before or after the control valve of the water switch, so as to prevent water from flowing back when it flows out.
2. Before installation, it is also necessary to distinguish the direction of water flow and the check valve of the check valve. The direction of the check valve is generally to connect one end of the check valve to the water pipe along the direction of the water flow, and the other end faces outward, so that the check valve can also effectively prevent the backflow of water.
1. Before installing the check valve, be sure to carefully check whether the selected check valve meets the relevant standards, and the check valve should be subjected to strength test and sealing test. Only after confirming that it is qualified can it be installed and used.
2. If the check valve is to be installed correctly, the installation height of the check valve, the inlet and outlet direction of the water flow, etc. must comply with the relevant installation specifications, and the flow direction of the internal medium should be the same as the arrow direction marked on the check valve, and the connection position must be tight and firm.
3. When installing the check valve, you should first observe the two ends of the check valve in detail, and then find out the water inlet port of the check valve, which is located in a relatively lower position, and then connect the water inlet port of the check valve and the water outlet port of the water pipe together. When the water flows in from the water inlet port of the check valve, the check valve will start to operate.
4. The water outlet port of the check valve is generally located in a relatively upper position. When the water pressure of the internal inflow exceeds a certain value, the valve will automatically open, and water will flow out of the water outlet port. When the water pressure of the water flowing into the check valve is lower than a certain value, the water will flow back, the valve will automatically close, and no water will flow out of the outlet. The above water flow phenomena can be used to detect whether the check valve is installed correctly.
